Taylor Swift and René Lévesque have something in common

In the immensity of the Universe, there is a link (however tenuous it may be) between singer Taylor Swift and former Prime Minister of Quebec René Lévesque.

This is what one of the members of the Sac de Chips team observed last Friday.

To our knowledge, we are the first humans in history to have noticed this fascinating, but ultimately somewhat useless, detail…

It all started when our Director of Color Creativity (or something like that) Benoit Dussault sent us TikToks from Taylor Swift.

“Taylor Swift is holding a pencil in a funny way,” Benoit mentioned in the post accompanying one of the videos, which actually shows Tay-Tay holding a pencil in a funny way.

In the other video, which unfortunately cannot be integrated, it’s the same thing!

At this point in time, although you may consider that the Bag of Chips has the notion of very, very loose relevance, we wondered about the interest that such news could arouse.

After all these years, we are very aware that when we publish articles like this, they inevitably generate comments like “Bananas are on special at Maxi” or “Last night, I brushed my teeth”.

However, since we are really very cultured (and humble) people, we were able to attach it to something larger than life.

In the large list of famous people who hold their pencil in a funny way, there is at least one other human.

Who is that?

RENÉ LÉVESQUE, OBVIOUSLY!

The founder of the Parti Québécois was in fact recognized for the curious way in which he held a pencil, which is exactly the same as Taylor Swift.

In the archive photo above, René Lévesque signed, on July 9, 1971, a commitment for another year of columns with the Journal de Montréal, under the eyes of Jean Neveu, executive vice-president of the Journal and Jacques Beauchamp, editorial manager.

And we can see very clearly that he holds his pen like Travis Kelce’s blonde!

This singular way of holding a pen was such a trademark of Ti-Poil that when Denis Bouchard personified it in the series René Levesque in 1994, he made sure to incorporate it into his interpretation.

We can see it in this excerpt, starting at 16:42:

That’s it.

Taylor Swift holds a pencil in a funny way, which is the same as that of René Lévesque.
