Jérémy Frérot “fell ill” because of his album: “I was shaking”
Jérémy Frérot was marked by his separation from former swimmer Laure Manaudou, with whom he had been in a relationship for 9 years. Father of 2 children (Lou born in 2017 and Sacha born in 2021), he first took the time to rebuild himself before evoking this stage of life in his new album, Sand kid, and notably in the first single “Adieu“. But the singer greatly feared this exposure… When the opus was released, he became sick with stage fright! “I got sick very quickly, within ten minutes. (…) I had a fever, I was shaking“, he confided to Télé-Loisirs.
Jérémy Frérot in “depression” in Paris: where does he live now?
When the artist gained notoriety, he felt obliged to move to Paris and leave the Arcachon basin. A sudden change of scenery which was difficult for him to live with. “When, with Flo Delavega, we signed with a record label, I moved to Paris and it was very, very hard for me to leave the Arcachon basin, which I had never done. I fell into depression in the first months because I no longer felt the sea.”he revealed to Télé-Loisirs.
Some time later, Jérémy Frérot chose to return to his family, in the Arcachon basin, and now goes to Paris solely for professional obligations, “It's just a question of organization: I can leave in the morning, dress my children, put the snack in the school bag, take the train, promote in Paris and come back in the evening.”he explained. A lifestyle that suits him perfectly!
