After a break of several years, Carach Angren is back in the studio to record a new EP, his first project since 2020. This news will delight fans of Symphonic Black Metal who have been impatiently awaiting new tracks.

Return to the studio for Carach Angren

The Dutch Symphonic Black Metal duo Carach Angren, composed of Seregor (vocals, guitar) and Ardek (keyboards, orchestrations), announced that they are in the middle of recording a new EP. Sessions are currently taking place at Tidalwave Studio in Germany, with release planned for 2025.

This project will mark their first release since the album Franckensteina Strataemontanus in 2020, an opus acclaimed for its theatrical storytelling and dark compositions.

Reassuring news about Seregor’s health

This announcement is particularly encouraging, as it confirms that Seregor, the band's lead singer and guitarist, is doing better following an emergency medical procedure earlier this year. This event forced Carach Angren to cancel certain festival dates, notably at Laurus Nobilis Music in Portugal.

In a statement, the group then explained: “Seregor recently had to undergo an emergency procedure and, on medical advice, is recovering. He is recovering well, and we look forward to returning to Portugal in the near future.”
