Lauryn Hill and her son, YG Marley, took the stage at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday, June 30, at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.

An exceptional duo. Lauryn Hill performed songs from her cult album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” with her son, YG Marley, grandson of reggae icon Bob Marley, at the 2024 BET Awards.

This Sunday, June 30, the 49-year-old singer took to the stage at the 2024 BET Awards, kicking off with a touching performance of “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” the title track from her iconic 1998 album.

She then continued with her single “Lost Ones” in front of an enthusiastic crowd, delighted to sing along to the song.

Shortly after, the artist’s son, who is also the grandson of reggae icon Bob Marley, joined her on stage to perform her recently released single, “Survival,” and “Praise Jah In The Moonlight.”

Wyclef Jean, a member of Lauryn Hill’s group Fugees, then joined the duo on stage to sing their 1995 rap track “Fu-Gee-La.”

Note that Lauryn Hill and the Fugees are celebrating the anniversary of “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” this year with a tour that will pass through Paris this fall, more precisely on Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Accor Arena.

The star’s first studio album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” released on August 25, 1998, was nominated ten times for the Grammy Awards in 1999 and won five awards, including best album of the year.
