Florent Pagny was forced to take a break from his career to fight lung cancer. The singer was greatly missed by his fans, who have been delighted to have him back for several months. In the columns of Paris Match this Thursday, November 21, he made some confidences concerning his health. “I had a problem just recently, I hadn't been behind a microphone in a year and I was having a hard time”he said. During his convalescence, the singer devoted himself fully to the illness, putting his career aside. So, returning to the forefront was not very easy for him. Florent Pagny affirms: “I said yes to Francis Lalanne – his song was good – to do a track in support of Paul Watsonand I realized that I really needed to warm up my voice”. Although this piece was close to his heart, he nevertheless admits to having encountered many difficulties during production. “I suffered, and then the good verses like the good choruses arrived at the end of the session,” he declared before continuing: “But I had this little moment of doubt, where I said to myself “damn I’m getting old”.
