Week full of adventure for the candidates of the “Star Academy”. After Emma's surprise elimination, the 10 remaining students from season 12 will, this Saturday, share the microphone with former star candidates from previous editions. Who from Jenifer, Nolwenn Leroy, Pierre Garnier, Anisha or Sofia Essaïdi will be back on the set of the flagship TF1 show? The mystery remains, but one thing is certain: there will be a lot of emotion. As announced during the press conference, the academicians will have the opportunity to perform a new song by Grégory Lemarchal. “ At the beginning, the idea was to propose a title written by this generation and which would tell why the memory of Grégory is still very strong. The family and the record company informed us that Grégory had written texts shortly before his death. We thought it would be great to have one of them used by the students. » attested Mathieu Vergne in the columns of Tele-Leisure.

“A rather special story…”

This song is called “Et si tu sens”, and Grégory Lemarchal wrote it only a few weeks after his death. “ We talked about it quite a bit with Grégory's parents, because we found it important that you know why he wrote this song and when » Lucie Bernardoni, very close to Grégory Lemarchal, indicated with emotion to the students: “ He wrote it on March 15, 2007 in the hospital. He would certainly have loved to sing it. (…) He was on hold and not yet included on the transplant list. So he wrote a song whose words will resonate for each of you, which resonated for him “. At his side, Mosimann – winner of season 7 – returned to the castle to meet the students and share the song with them exclusively. Indeed, the musician and producer is the musical arranger of this song which until then remained in the drawers: “ It's a bit of a special story… Grégory and I never met but we did a lot of singing competitions together. Every time I passed, he came first. When I returned to the castle, I don't know why, but I had the impression that he had helped me ».

If he says he felt “ invested with a mission », Mosimann therefore presented to the students a first version of the song “Et si tu sens”, putting his own voice on it. The artist also says he had great difficulty containing his emotion: “ It was very difficult for me too, for the weight of the words. It's huge for me to do this “. And listening to the title in the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys, where Grégory Lemarchal evolved 20 years ago, suspended time. Ulysse, Masséo, Charles and Marguerite shed a few tears while listening to the song, in an almost religious silence. In the daily, viewers were able to discover the previously unreleased and its studio recording by the 10 remaining students of the class of 2024.

Students in tears at the song

« When you are left with the words that you wanted to keep / You will cross the wall of water with your head kissed and your eyes closed / Ok, you are left with the love that you receive at will / It's all hope the days that you want to give back / And if you feel that the day is coming / That you can relive tomorrow / You will be the only star / To see it coming / The horizon for your future » we hear in the lyrics, in reference to the fight of Grégory Lemarchal against cystic fibrosis. A text which touched the heart of the academicians and in particular Maureen, who revealed that her mother fought against several illnesses: “ I feel touched at this point because I feel that it fully sums up my mother's situation. “. This song will be performed by Ulysse, Masséo, Marine, Maïa or Ebony this Saturday, November 23 during the prime, and all profits from the title will be donated to the Grégory Lemarchal association. It should also be released on Saturday on streaming platforms. A great moment of emotion in perspective for the students and viewers!
