Dutch Symphonic Metal band Epica has just released their new single Arcana. This release, which precedes a new album planned for 2025, offers a preview of the new sounds and themes explored by the group.
Arcana : A spiritual and musical journey
After his successful album Omega released in 2021 and its collaborative EP The Alchemy ProjectEpica returns with a powerful title, Arcanaavailable today on all streaming platforms. According to the band, the track, produced by the renowned Remko Tielemans, guides listeners through the universal stages of spiritual evolution, leading to a higher state of consciousness.
Arcana combines classic Epica elements with new influences, borrowing sounds reminiscent of 80s alternative rock and modern metal. This mixture is the result of spontaneous writing, born from a natural creative impulse, as the group emphasized. In addition to Arcanathe single includes The Ghost In Me (Danse Macabre)a collaboration with the amusement park De Efteling, associated with their new attraction Dance of Macabre.
