“A special taste”
The singer Slimane, targeted by a complaint for sexual harassment filed by a technician of one of his tours, admitted that this prize had a “special taste”. “My daughter, when you grow up I really hope that you will be proud of your dad. […] To my audience, sorry, from one human to many other human beings, thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he added, very moved.
This was his first public appearance since the revelation by “Le Parisien” of a complaint from a lawyer representing a technician who claims “to have been the victim of sexual harassment […] in December 2023, during a concert at the Zénith de Saint-Etienne”, according to the Saint-Etienne public prosecutor's office. The latter indicated that he was “waiting for evidence, in the form of various recordings, which this lawyer announced that he had and must send (to him)”, to decide on the possible opening of a preliminary investigation.
Pierre Garnier, French-speaking revelation
Big winner of the Star Academy, Pierre Garnier, for his part, won the prizes for French-speaking revelation and French-speaking song of the year for “Ceux qu'on été”. Indochine won the French-speaking group of the year award. The prize for DJ of the year finally goes to Frenchman David Guetta.
Taylor Swift et The Weeknd
Internationally, the prize for female artist went to Taylor Swift and that for male artist to The Weeknd. Benson Boone received two distinctions: the prize for international revelation and that for international song of the year for his title “Beautiful Things”.
