“We’re the idiots, yeah!” Come on, have a good trip Fianso!

From now on, he will concentrate on production and cinema.

Thank you Fianso for the work

In rap, there is a bunch of artists who have sold a lot of records. With the advent of streaming, we are even witnessing the emergence of guys who go double platinum in the space of a few months. But artists who really left their mark on the game and wrote a piece of French rap history, there are a lot fewer of thems. Whether we like it or not, Fianso is part of this small group of rappers. With his tour of of neighborhoods for “#JeSuisPassséChezSo”, his energy, and his perseverance, and above all, with his talent and his energywe can say that Fianso’s feats of arms will be remembered for a long time to come. But all that is over: the rapper will no longer make albums.

A page that closes

Nothing to cry about either, since Fianso has been withdrawing from the rap game for a while. A few weeks ago, he even declared in his story that he wanted to be “let him go with his medals and trophies”. In an interview with Le Parisien, he went a little further in his remarks:

I stop making albums. I will still do concerts. Maybe I’ll put together a little tour to say goodbye… But my best way of expressing myself in artistic terms today is to be an actor and to serve stories.

I have the luxury of starting with victories and not in a downward career. There are two or three generations of rappers who have arrived since I started: it’s up to them to do their thing!

Fianso also took the opportunity to deliver his analysis on the state of the French rap industry, and according to him:

Twenty-year careers no longer exist […] Supply exceeded demand. There are 70 titles released every Friday, 200 albums every month. Me, I come from a very hard rap and I don’t want to lie to the kids: I’m not going to make them believe that today I’m still experiencing what they’re experiencing. It’s a question of honesty.

More albums for our national Sofiane Zermani, therefore, which we had received several times at Générations with great pleasure, to speak, or to rap. We will still see him from time to time for verses, because we know that he has the microphone that itches sometimes. We wish him good luck for his acting career, he who is currently showing with “Barbès, Little Algérie”.
