Kendji Girac comes out of silence and did not choose his day by chance: “I thank heaven for being alive”

On the night of April 21 to 22, Kendji Girac was admitted in a state of extreme emergency to the hospital after being shot in the chest in an area reserved for Travelers in Biscarosse.

If an investigation had been opened by the Mont-de-Marsan prosecutor for intentional homicide, it ultimately turned out that the singer had wanted to “simulate suicide” with his weapon, a Colt 45, found in a ditch a few hours later the drama.

Nineteen days after this episode, Kendji Girac spoke for the first time. And he claims not to have chosen this day of May 10 by chance: “Ten years ago I won The Voice thanks to you and this date is forever engraved in my heart”, he says in a long message published on Instagram.

In it, Kendji Girac explains that he regrets his action and assumes his responsibilities: “I apologized at length to my family and my team who have supported me since the first day but I held on, on this special day which changed my life , to apologize to all of you because I know all the pain and worry I may have caused you.”

The interpreter of L’Andalouse and Gitano also explained that he was taking care of himself and resting “to come back even stronger thanks to you and I want to leave this period of my life behind me.”
