The NRJ Music Awards and Cannes ceremony is an affair that lasts. The variety show broadcast live on TF1 and NRJ radio will continue to be organized at the Palais des Festivals for the next three years, until 2027. The municipal council voted, this Monday, September 30, for a partnership agreement with the joint Cannes events company (Semec), NRJ and TF1 “so that the rights and obligations of each person are fixed”indicates the municipality.
If the 2020 edition of the NRJ Music Awards had exceptionally taken place in Paris due to the health crisis, this great pop music show has not left Cannes since the year 2000. Last year, 3.21 million of viewers found themselves in front of TF1 images.
Live, November 1
This year, the event will take place on November 1, broadcast live on TF1, from 9:10 p.m., with the irremovable Nikos Aliagas at the presentation. In the list of nominees in the fourteen categories we find the American Taylor Swift as well as the French Justice and David Guetta, but also Slimane, Amir, Gims, Joseph Kamel, and the former students of Star Ac’, Pierre Garnier and Helena, among many others. Prizes are awarded based on public votes, on the radio’s website or on its application.
