Two months after participating in the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, Lady Gaga is back in the capital. In a video of just under a minute and a half filmed in the Louvre, the American star performs a few dance steps unsteady in front of the paintings before wandering around the half-light of rooms emptied of their visitors.

The figure of the madman in the spotlight
Red hair cut into a rough bob, eyes made up with black kohl, the singer does not seem in her normal state. An impression that is confirmed when she takes out a lipstick and traces on The Mona Lisa an exaggerated smile reminiscent of that of the Joker.
As you will have understood, this is a staging imagined to announce the cinema release of “Joker: Folie à deux”, in theaters Wednesday October 2, 2024, in which Lady Gaga plays Harley Quinnthe Joker’s sweetheart, whose role Joaquin Phoenix takes on for a second installment.

A video that should delight fans in more ways than one: the soundtrack is a song composed especially for the occasion by Lady Gaga.
This is not the first time that the most famous museum in Paris has allowed artists to use its architecture as a backdrop for their productions. In 2018, Jay-Z and Beyoncé had the privilege of shooting the video for “Apeshit” there. The video was seen 17 million times in three days.
