eliminated from The Voice: “I was a little relieved to leave”
Descriptive text here

You are 20 years old, what is your history with music?

I have been singing since I was little but I started music at 16, after seeing street singers and musicians in Spain. I decided to learn guitar and sing on the subway. Around 18, I started writing and composing.

How did you experience your blind audition?

It went very well, and the result was great. I couldn’t say I expected all four chairs to turn around, but that’s what I wanted so I was very happy. I think I was a little paralyzed in front of the coaches and even during the entire show! (Laughs) I didn’t really know how to express myself well, I couldn’t smile. I was in a state of stress and strong emotions, so I was a little withdrawn.

How did you choose your team?

Among the coaches, Mika is the one who inspired me the most and to whom I listened the most. And he embodies an elegance that I like. During coaching, he was very precise and frank.

What memories do you have of the battles?

This is the most complicated stage, you find yourself against someone you end up liking. I spent a lot of time rehearsing with Lance. The shoot was full of emotions and we ended up on the last day. It was even harder to wait without knowing when we were going to pass. It was difficult to win. I had a hard time savoring the victory, I was sad that Lance was eliminated. I was very disappointed that he was not drafted.

How did you experience your time on television?

It was very positive, I received lots of super cute messages. I saw that the battle had had an effect on social networks. For me, this infatuation confirmed how valuable Lance was and that we both belonged.

How did your cross battle go?

I was a little ill, I had the end of a cold. So my voice faltered at one point. It happens, we deal with it. It was a great exercise because I’m not really used to singing French. It was my girlfriend, who is a musician, who made me listen to Travel Travel. I knew her, but from afar. I loved it and wanted to make a rock version for the cross battle.

How did you feel when you were eliminated?

In reality, I was a little relieved because I didn’t have any big ambitions in The Voice. Getting this far was just enough for me. Besides, the first time they contacted me to offer me castings, I refused. I was quite suspicious and afraid. I reconsidered my decision after talking about it to those around me and I put aside my preconceptions. During the cross battle, I was facing Baptiste Sartoria who sang magnificently. He really deserves his place.

What career would you dream of having?

I would like to play rock in French and English, and perhaps one day export myself internationally. I would like that a lot. I do a lot of studio work and gigs from time to time. I hope to release a project in the next few months…
