He couldn’t not be there. In the creation of a tribute show to his mother, Françoise Hardy, Thomas Dutronc could not miss the call, this Wednesday at 8 p.m., on the stage of the Palais d’Auron. Alongside Sage, on the baton, and nine other artists*, he will take up his mother’s copious repertoire, of which he gives news.

How do you prepare for a one-off show like this?

First there was the Hyper Week-end Festival, in , at the end of January, where we had 3-4 rehearsals, plus one and a half runs on the day of the concert (it was the first act of this creation on Françoise Hardy, for Radio , Editor’s note). It’s important to get to know each other, to feel things with each other. And then we get started. You can’t know the songs by heart. For two concerts, it’s too much work, so we work with teleprompters. We’re all in the same boat, I remember the teleprompter that broke down in front of Clara Luciani on the first concert. It’s a bit of a nightmare on the radio… There, in (the second act of this creation, for Printemps de Bourges)it’s a concert, it’s less stressful because if there is a problem, the spectators will understand.
