After a 3-season revival and despite good audiences, “CSI: Vegas” is preparing to bow out for good. It’s an essential page in American television that is turning…

No season 4 for CSI Vegas that CBS just canceled. The series made a resounding return to television in 2021, after 15 long seasons and six years of absence. This revival had allowed early fans to find some well-known faces of the city’s scientific police alongside new actors (Matt Lauria’s Paula Newsome in the lead).

William Petersen (Gil Grissom) and Jorja Fox (Sara) had agreed to return to the field and investigate alongside the new CSI team. Faced with an unprecedented crisis that could threaten the very existence of the forensic science lab, this new team of scientific experts must welcome old friends and deploy new techniques to preserve peace, if at all they can. exist, in Las Vegas and… prevent the worst.

Fans at the meetings

If this CSI: Vegas did not have the same success as the parent series, fans were still there to find Grissom and Sara, bringing together more than 7 million spectators from one week to the next. If their performers preferred to leave the ship after one season, the producers were able to count on Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) to play one of the main roles in the following episodes. Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders) also made a surprise appearance.

“I will miss my partners, with whom I conducted investigations, since unfortunately CSI Vegas has been canceled.”

Despite increasing audiences, the American channel seems to want to focus on another successful franchise: NCIS. While the series has just been renewed for season 22, CBS is working on its spin-offs, one of which will focus on Gibbs’ youth.

The first two seasons of CSI Vegas are available to binge on Paramount+.
