In his song “Adieu”, the artist confides in music about his separation from the swimming champion, with whom he married in 2018 and had two children.
Jérémy Frérot back in music. After two years of absence, the artist revealed this Monday the title Farewell, in which he confides in his separation from swimming champion Laure Manaudou. Questioned at the microphone of BFMTV, the singer assures that he would never have released this title if his former partner “had not agreed” with the lyrics. “I don’t think I’m falling into strong gossip in this song,” he assures.
“There is nothing specific in what we experience with the mother of my children, that I keep to myself. (…) I feel more like a conveyor of this moment and of a father’s life “of a family or a mother who tries to raise her children despite the fact that there are things that do not go as planned”, continues the artist.
An upcoming tour and album
And added: “I explain what can happen in the lives of humans, that women and men are fully concerned with the education of their children whatever happens.”
Jérémy Frérot and Laure Manaudou got married in 2018. Together they had two children, Lou (6 years old) and Sacha (3 years old). In order to protect them from a sudden change in family situation, the former member of Frérot Delavega confides that he used the words of his new title “almost word for word” to tell them the news.
“Dad and mom remain friends and we will remain a team. There was love that created you and there is love that raises you, it’s different but just as powerful,” he assures to the newspaper Le Parisien.
The artist explains that this song was also “therapeutic” for him in his creative process. “It did me good. (…) As someone who is quite introverted, it unblocked me in a certain way. I wrote a lot afterwards,” he confided to Le Parisien.
With the title FarewellJérémy Frérot is thus beginning his return to music with the release of a third album, planned for the next school year, and a tour announced for 2025.
