Brad Pitt reacts after Anne’s scam

The affair took an international turn. For a year and a half, Anne, an interior decorator, thought she was having an affair with American actor Brad Pitt. But it was actually a well-crafted scam by scammers who used artificial intelligence-generated content to scam it. In total, she lost 830,000 euros and decided to testify on the TF1 show Sept à quatre to warn: what happened to her can affect everyone.

But since the broadcast, this 53-year-old mother has been the target ofa wave of online teasing and cyberharassment. The show broadcast this Sunday January 12, 2025 was deleted from the channel’s replay but his story made the rounds in the French and international press.

Anne spoke yesterday in a Legend video, Guillaume Pley’s Youtube media, explaining that “in this report the only thing we are going to remember is ‘Anne fell in love with a fake Brad Pitt’”. She explains thata journalist stayed at her house for two days to interview her and that “He (only) retained what should not have been retained, to tarnish my image and it was only with the aim of attracting an audience,” she explained.

The matter also came to the attention of the American star who also spoke via her spokesperson in the columns of Entertainment Weekly. “It’s unfortunate that scammers are taking advantage of fans’ strong connection to celebrities,” lamented Brad Pitt. “But this is an important reminder not to respond to unsolicited online requests, especially from the part of actors who do not have a presence on social networks,” continued the actor.

The grazer identified

Originally from Nigeria, the scammer who posed as Brad Pitt is not his first online scam. He was identified thanks to a booby-trapped link sent to him by Marwan Ouarab, a former hacker who converted to helping victims of online fraud.

“In addition to pretending to be Brad Pitt, he pretends to be Keanu Reeves ! (…) He will be arrested normally in the coming days, we have great hope that she will be able to recover her money, perhaps not in full, but in my opinion, a good part,” he said. he confided in an interview with Legend this Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
