Mufasa : the lion king sits at the top of the French box office for the fourth consecutive week, reaching 4 million spectators, and ahead of A Bear in the Jura and the latest Almodovar, according to data published by CBO Box-Office on Wednesday. Adapted from the eponymous cartoon, the Disney animated film brought together 392,999 spectators from January 8 to 14, taking advantage of its imposing presence on 1,020 screens. In total, the feature film by Oscar-winning American director Barry Jenkins has attracted 3.96 million people since its release in .

In a more limited circuit (650 screens), the black comedy by Frank Dubosc A bear in the Jura is holding up well, with 264,397 spectators over the week and 716,739 since its release two weeks ago. For its first week of operation, The Room Next Door, an intimate drama by Pedro Almodovar with Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton, totaled 228,277 admissions on 396 screens, i.e. « best average per copy » of the top 10 of the week, reports CBO Box-Office.
