Jeremy Allen White to voice Jabba the Hutt’s son in ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’

While his career is on the rise, Jeremy Allen White never ceases to surprise us. The actor, who recently became a Calvin Klein muse and who currently plays Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming biopic, will lend his voice to Rotta the Hutt, Jabba’s son, in the highly anticipated The Mandalorian & Grogua film scheduled for release in May 2026.

An unexpected role to say the least for the Hollywood playboy who, on the occasion of his arrival in the galaxy far, far away from Star Wars, will opposite Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver.

A project taking shape

If the details of the plot still remain secret, the presence of Jabba the Hutt’s son could herald the return of Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) as pointed out by the NME. In the series The Book of Boba FettJabba’s death had left a void in Tatooine’s underworld, opening the way for new intrigues.

The film will be directed by Jon Favreau, showrunner of The Mandalorianwith a screenplay co-written with Lucasfilm creative director Dave Filoni. This will be the first film Star Wars to be released in theaters since L’Ascension de Skywalker in 2019.
