With The Rings of Power, Amazon Prime may have control over the universe of JRR Tolkien in series form, but there are still projects that are making their way into theaters. In a few days, The Lord of the Rings is preparing to make its comeback through a new project. 20 years after Peter Jackson's trilogy, The Lord of the Rings is available in the form of an animated film borrowing heavily from Japanese animation.
After the Amazon Prime series, The Lord of the Rings returns to the cinema with a completely new project
More than twenty years after the adaptation of JRR Tolkien's novels by director Peter Jackson, Lord of the Rings invites himself back to the cinema. Of course, over the last decade, the cinematic universe has continued to expand, with the trilogy The Hobbit. However, it is mainly Amazon that helps to develop Tolkien's legacy, in particular with the help of his series The Rings of Power. If season 2 convinced more compared to the first episodes, the fans' opinion is not unanimous. But, to their delight, there may be an outing that will bring them all together!
In a few days, Lord of the Rings returns to reclaim its throne at the box office with a project that is, to say the least, unexpected, called The Rohirrim War. The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrimin the original version, is due to arrive in France on December 11, 2024. For those who don't know it yet, it's an animated film that explores an epic chapter in the history of Rohan, 183 years before the events of The Fellowship of the Ring. Directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex), it focuses on Helm Hammerhand, played by Brian Cox, and his fight against the Dunlendings led by Lord Wulf (Luke Pasqualino). The film also features Hera, Helm's daughter, played by Gaia Wise, who plays a key role in the resistance.

The Lord of the Rings as we've never seen it, the film The War of the Rohirrims is already surprising
Just a few years ago, we would never have thought of viewing an adaptation of the Lord of the Rings with so many borrowings from Japanese animation. Although it is a feature film produced by Warner Bros Animation, this creation is the fruit of the work of the teams at the Sola Digital Arts studio. Moreover, to make our mouths water and encourage us to rush into dark rooms in the coming days, members of the studio and Warner Bros decided to broadcast the first eight minutes of the film, a strategy that we are seeing more and more often.
The least we can say is that the film The Rohirrim War doesn't take long to establish its atmosphere, very dark for once. Always with the aim of making us salivate, we are allowed to discover a few small passages on the action scenes, but not too many either! Warner Bros and Sola Digital Arts still have a little under their belt, which doesn't stop them from close the seven-minute extract of a sort of final trailer ! Come on, just a few more days to wait before diving back into a new part of Tolkien's universe!
