Thierry Lhermitte’s hilarious anecdote about filming the pig scene in “Les Bronzés sont du ski”

It is still, almost 50 years later, one of the most cult comedies of French cinema. Elevated to the rank of classic, like the films with Louis de Funès, the saga of Les Bronzés has crossed generations and has taken a lasting place in the hearts of the French. If the three opuses have not all enjoyed the same success, the second part of Les Bronzés sont du ski is undoubtedly the favorite of most viewers. It must be said that the cult lines and sequences follow one another without interruption. The scene of the fondue, that of the chairlift or even the refuge remain in the memories as emblematic moments. Just like the pig scene, which has also become one of the symbols of the film. Remember: Doctor Jérôme Tarayre, played by Christian Clavier, arrives at his medical office for an emergency… but discovers that the patient is none other than a pig, named Copain (“like pig”), who is suffering from anemia. A moment which gave rise to the famous line “But eat it!”, uttered by a stamping Christian Clavier with rage, but which was not the easiest to film.
