Bridget Jones, 52 years old and widow: discover the trailer for the 4th and final part, Bridget Jones: Mad About Him

Renée Zellweger returns for the fourth time the role of Bridget Jones, who will once again have to embark on the quest for the ideal man.

Nine years later Bridget Jones Baby (2016), Bridget Jones makes her comeback to the cinema in 2025. Renée Zellweger reprises her iconic role, and in nine years, many events have marked the life of the cult heroine imagined by Helen Fielding. This new opus, Bridget Jones : Very lazydirected by Michael Morris, will be released in on February 12, just in time for Valentine's Day.

A shattering return

In this fourth part, adapted from the third volume, Bridget Jones : Mad About the Boy, published in 2013 by Helen Fielding, we find Bridget Jones in what could well be the final chapter of her eventful life. Now aged 52, she is the mother of two children… and a widow for four years, following the death of Mark Darcy (played by Colin Firth), who we see in the form of ” ghost “ in the trailer. After a long period of mourning, Bridget once again sets out in search of the ideal man, but she quickly discovers that returning to the world of celibacy is not easy.

True to herself, Bridget goes through incredible situations, while remaining faithful to the last three films. From his experiences on Tinder to the mysterious “magic tree for men”and even with the return of Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant), absent from the last film, life will not be simpler for the British heroine. The cast also includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, who will play Bridget's children's teacher, as well as Leo Woodall, who could well play the role of a lover potentially too young for our heroine…

The last dance pour Bridget Jones ?

Released in 2001, Bridget Jones's Diary has marked many generations, and this fourth part seems to be the end point of the British saga. The trailer sets the tone: with the shadow of Mark Darcy hovering over the story, we hear “It’s time to leave” while the words “For a final chapter” are displayed on the screen. Ranked among the best British romantic comedies by Vanity Fair the saga leaves unforgettable memories, like that of Bridget running after Mark Darcy in a snowy street in London, in sneakers, vest and zebra pants. This final chapter promises to be as funny as it is epic, for a memorable conclusion.
