If the MCU is currently going through a complicated period, the cinematographic universe has long been in a state of grace that few things seemed to be able to stop. It’s one of his best hits which is about to leave the TF1 streaming service…

Home Sweet Home

In 2016, Spider-Man made a notable appearance in Captain America : Civil War. The superhero, whose rights were (and still are) owned by Sony, was able to make his introduction in the Russo brothers’ feature film thanks to an agreement between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. After Civil War and the success of the film, the partnership between Sony and Marvel has strengthened, allowing the Web Weaver played by Tom Holland to benefit from a trilogy directed by Jon Watts.

The first opus of this trilogy, Spider-Man Homecomingwas hailed by the public and some of the press as a return to form for the teenage superhero in the cinema. The first feature film featured a younger Spider-Man than usual since he was still in high school when he put on his costume. While some of the changes made to the character didn’t necessarily please fans, the film was a great success in theaters, winning more than 5 times its budget at the box officeet still available for a limited time on the TF1+ streaming service.

Bring the billion home

The success of the first film Spider-Man produced by Marvel Studios had the effect of validating a trilogy of fluctuating quality but increasingly successful at the box office, going so far as to rake in more than $1.9 billion during the theatrical run of the latest opus Spider-Man No Way Home. A success which also pushed Sony to create its own “Spider-Man Universe”, famous for not including any of the versions of the spider hero but rather composed of his supervillains, notably Venom, the third and supposedly final film of which is expected on October 30.

For its part, Marvel Studios continues to bet on its most popular superhero with a fourth film scheduled to begin filming soon. Moreover, the latter should have a particularly important role in the films Avengers future if we are to believe the rumors surrounding the production of the Russo brothers’ next two superhero productions. Either way, there’s little time left for you to catch up on the latest “Spider-Man” trilogy, since “Spider-Man Homecoming” leaves the TF1+ catalog on October 25.
