So uncertain that the next project was even developed entirely without the space fighter in the title. Prey nevertheless managed to perform a small miracle.

Released in 2022 on the Disney+ streaming service, this derivative reinvents the series Predator in prequel form in the 18th century. It is through the eyes of Comanches that we witness the arrival on Earth of the dangerous science fiction villain. And this with great success: it even made it possible to launch a new film, Predator : Badlands !

Prey not only convinced the heads of 20th Century Studios and Disney to continue developing the franchise, but also to bring it back to the cinema. After having hesitated for a long time on the exact release date of Predator : Badlandswe now know that the film will be released in theaters on November 7, 2025.

This is what the Hollywood Reporter announces. This is currently only the US release date. However, we can expect that Predator : Badlands released in the same period with us. The film was directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who, besides Preyalso filmed the magnificent science fiction film 10 Cloverfield Lane.
No official indication of the plot has yet been revealed. But we already know who will play the main role: Elle Fanning. The actress, known for her roles in Maleficent, Super 8 et The Neon Demonshould even play a dual role in Predator : Badlandsaccording to leaked casting information.

The fan site Alien vs. Predator Galaxy reported the casting call in August. It seems that twin sisters Thia and Tessa are at the center of the story and that they are both played by Elle Fanning. The sisters are supposed to be very different and have many personal conflicts.

The filming of Predator : Badlands debuted in August in New Zealand under the working title Backpack. Furthermore, Dan Trachtenberg is working on a sequel to Prey.
