One last trailer for Marvel’s next disaster

Sony Pictures’ Marvel Universe is hanging by a spider’s web, but it’s still making its way onto our screens. After Morbius et Madame Webtwo feature films that are more of a long-winded meme than a cinematic masterpiece, Venom seems to be the only success of this “Spideyverse” in live action. Apparently determined to cling to the only Marvel characters it has, Sony is churning out average productions where Spider-Man’s enemies can’t even meet their nemesis, because he’s too busy in the MCU. The deal between the two cinematic universes complicates things, and Venom will have lived three adventures on the big screen without even meeting Peter Parker.

However, it is not for want of having dangled a possible meeting at the end of Spider-Man : No Way Home. These plans seem to have been abandoned and Eddie Brock will therefore enjoy a “last dance” (as the title of the film so aptly indicates) in a strict duet with his symbiote. As the theatrical release scheduled for October 30 approaches, Venom : The Last Dance offers a final trailer just as intense and wacky as the previous ones.

The whole hive is awake!

If the horse Venom did not fail to make Internet users laugh when the previous trailer was broadcast, these new extracts are a little more serious. Now that Venom’s hive has managed to locate the symbiote on Earththis third opus promises to stage some epic clashes to say the least. Unfortunately, the feature film could well have trouble finding the right balance between seriousness and comedy. This trailer is once again peppered with two-bit jokes, characteristic of this Eddie/Venom duo that has been bordering on the ridiculous since the first film. But isn’t that the charm of Tom Hardy’s interpretation of the character?

We all know that this Venom will not fly very high, but the show will be entertaining nonetheless. After all, no one can do worse than Madame Web. Two months later, Sony Pictures and Marvel will already be back in theaters with their adaptation of Kraven the Hunter. We can only hope that this film, which has been postponed several times, will be closer to Venom than Morbius, but this case seems to be off to a bad start… Stay tuned on December 18.
