12 years later, Anne Hathaway apologizes to journalist after ‘horrible’ interview

Following the publication of a “nightmarish” 2016 interview with Blake Lively, journalist Kjersti Flaa has published new excerpts from an equally disastrous interview with Anne Hathaway. “Yesterday I received an email. It was from Anne Hathaway’s press secretary, and he gave me a message from her,” the journalist said in a video posted on her YouTube channel. “I have to say I was quite shocked. I didn’t expect her to contact me at all. I thought she was never even going to see this video. But she did it. And she did something pretty incredible.”

“A very personal note”

A “touching” and very personal message in which Anne Hathaway first apologizes for this interview which she herself described as “horrible” and returns to her behavior at the time. “She sent me a long email explaining what she was going through at the time of the interview and she apologized for giving me a horrible interview, basically. It was so touching,” continued the journalist. “I almost have tears in my eyes (…) It was a very personal note.”
