Tim Burton can go get dressed: another film is now taking over the US box office! It’s an animated feature film beloved by critics and one that you’ve probably already heard of.

After an impressive start, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (or Beetlejuice 2 for short) has now given up its place at the top of the American box office. Tim Burton’s latest eccentricity, a sequel to the 1988 classic, remained at number 1 in the US for 3 weeks between September 6 and 26. Now, it’s the Wild Robot’s turn to shine. The animated film from Dreamworks studios, released on September 27 in the United States and Canada, collected $35 million over its first weekend of release. This is more than double that of Beetlejuice 2 over the same period.

Sauvage…

But what is this animated film that is off to a flying start? This Wild Robot tells the story of Rozzum 7134, more commonly known as “Roz”, a large metal creature who crashes on a planet full of animals… She will quickly come across an orphaned baby bird who could really use a mother ! The droid will take the animal under its wing – teaching it everything a bird worthy of the name is supposed to know.

A mixture of adventure, friendship and emotion which has already largely won over the press and the public (at least in the countries where the film is available). On the Rotten Tomatoes site, Le Robot Sauvage received a score of 98% from critics and spectators alike.. ScreenRant calls it a “remarkable” feature film in almost every way… “It’s an uplifting, hilarious, heartbreaking and breathtaking animated adventure that reaffirms the power of a parent’s love.”

Soon in

This little masterpiece produced by Chris Sanders (the second mastermind of Dragons) will arrive soon in France, more precisely on October 9… And with a start of 35 million dollars (only in the USA and Canada, we remind you), the new baby from Dreamworks should do more than well in the future. Now that the Vice-Versa 2 madness is over, the field is clear.
