Two years after his last feature film, Spielberg announces a new project, an original science fiction creation. He joins forces again with his friend to create the work, it promises to be grandiose!
Feet in the SF dish
In science fiction, Steven Spielberg knew how to shine: his films in the genre, E.T. et Ready Player Onemarked the public. The director announces his next film today, two years after his semi-autobiographical ”The Fabelmans”. It is about The Dishplanned for May 2026at the same time as the blockbuster Avengers: Doomsday. There is already a 2000 film with the same name. This Australian production deals with the subject of broadcasting man’s first steps on the moon. The Dish of Spielberg intends to deal withUFOs.

In addition to renowned people behind the project, The Dish will feature a cast with faces well known to the public, including Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer) et Josh O’Connor (Challenger, The Crown).
Collaborators since the age of dinosaurs
It’s not news that David Koepp and Steven Spielberg are working together, the two men have collaborated on several projects since Jurassic Park (1993) : Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, War of the Worlds (2005). In the same interview with The Wrap, David Koepp admits that the project The Dish could get closer to Presence, a horror film he wrote, released last year. He informs us that production on Spielberg’s next feature film will begin filming in February 2025, which will take place in Atlanta, New Jersey. Before the release of this work with unidentified flying objects, Koepp is behind Jurassic World Rebirthwhich comes out this summer, part directed by Gareth Edwards (The Creator).
