Five films to watch during the holiday season

With the holiday season underway, here is my suggestion of five films to watch as a family.

The Christmas Chronicles

The Christmas Chronicles follows Kate (Darby Camp) and her brother Teddy (Judah Lewis) who are busy spying on the arrival of Santa Claus (Kurt Russell). As he appears as if by magic, the children manage to slip into his sleigh, and embark on a crazy adventure where an accident risks spoiling the holidays. They will therefore help Santa Claus and his elves to save Christmas.

The movie has a sequel so you can see that too.

That Christmas

This modern Christmas tale tackles themes of love and loneliness, family and friends, and Santa making a big mistake – not to mention an astronomical quantity of turkeys…

A Christmas story

Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey) begins the Christmas holidays with his usual contempt, bitching about his loyal employee (Gary Oldman) and his cheerful nephew (Colin Firth). But when ghosts from the past, present and future make him realize truths that Scrooge doesn't really want to face, Scrooge must open his heart to right his wrongs before it's too late.

December 23

In this Quebec film, we see that the Christmas frenzy is at its peak on December 23. Author India Desjardins allows us to follow the stories of a family. Their destinies intertwine by chance on this already tumultuous day, which will be crowned by a snowstorm. Actors Michel Barrette, Stéphane Rousseau, Guylaine Tremblay and many others will make you have a good time.

The Christmas cyclone

For Isabelle Gagnon, a single mother of three children, Christmas is the most beautiful day of the year, despite the mental load that accompanies this celebration. But this year, the traditions are threatened, while his family members have other plans.

If you enjoyed the series The eye of the stormyou will like to find the characters for The Christmas Cyclone. This film is still showing in cinemas so this gives you a little outing.
