AWith over 500 soundtracks to his credit, Ennio Morricone was not just a prolific composer, he also revolutionized the interaction between image and music. However, young Ennio, born in 1928 in Rome, Italy, dreams of a career as a doctor. His father, a trumpeter, decided otherwise. He forces him to learn this instrument at the conservatory. Subsequently, Ennio Morricone turned to composition, under the direction of Goffredo Petrassi, famous classical composer. Despite his success, the student will always have admiration for a master who is not always kind to him. Coming from a modest background, Ennio Morricone also lived with an inferiority complex towards his comrades at the conservatory, often from the Roman bourgeoisie. For a long time, his peers looked down on him, assimilating film music to a commercial operation, to a form of prostitution.
