After two trilogies outside the UCM – although we saw some nice cameo of the ancient mutants in 'Deadpool and Wolverine'-, the X-Men is about to land in the cinematic canon of Marvel. The importance of the group will be maximum, and the House of Ideas has made a strong commitment to the X-Men launching a lot of different headers in comic form, and intends to make them take on greater prominence that until now remains practically unpublished in the MCU.

Everything also seems to indicate that Marvel Studios will bet on young performers, and in this way, Sadie Sink, known for giving life to Max in ‘Stranger Things’the hit Netflix series. Sink, according to Hollywood liars, is currently the favorite to succeed Famke Jansen and Sophie Turner in the role of Jean Grey.

Furthermore, it seems that we will not have to wait long to discover his debut, since it will be in 'Avengers: Doomsday'which will premiere in 2026. After it, there will be 'Avengers: Secret Wars'while to enjoy the first film of the ‘X-Men’ We would have to wait after the latter, that is, the second half of 2027 at the earliest.

Meet the X-Men in the comics

Before going to the cinema, it is a good option to discover the mutants in the vignettes. The best and most affordable (due to availability, not price) are both the Omnibus that Panini has launched (2 at the moment) with Chris Claremont's eighties era, as well as the recent tochal ‘New X-Men’ by Grant Morrison, a completely groundbreaking stage. If we want to opt for something more current, we can do so with the staple series that are currently being edited: 'X-Men', 'The Impossible X-Men'or the next 'The Extraordinary X-Men'three different groups that are part of the same continuity.
