«Cfifty-eight departments placed on alert in orange”, a look out the window to confirm the Météo France information, it's snowing. Who says snow says cold, says staying at home, warm. And what's better than a comforting film to watch by the fire (if you're lucky enough to have a fireplace, at worst turn up the heat), with a blanket, and a good Earl Gray (or a hot toddy, for the more alcoholics). Telerama has selected for you five (very) good films, comforting like a comfort blanket. So, put on your best jogging suit, make yourself comfortable and enjoy.
Doudou supercalifragilisticexpialidocious : “Mary Poppins”
The most charming nanny in the world comes out of the clouds under her umbrella and wreaks havoc in the family of a London banker. By far the best Disney production with real characters. Julie Andrews plays, sings and dances to delight, and warms our hearts.
Available on Disney+.

“Mary Poppins”
Eternal cuddly toy: “One day without end”
A cynical journalist must cover “Groundhog Day” in a remote town… Suddenly, a space-time paradox, he relives the same twenty-four hours eternally. The screenplay is a brilliant exercise in style. Bill Murray is huge.
Available on Netflix, Prime Video and Max.

“One day without end”
Enchanted cuddly toy: “Donkey skin”
In an imaginary country, a king wants to remarry his daughter. At the height of his art, Jacques Demy delivers here a (en)sung tale that Catherine Deneuve sublimes. “Be under the spell”: the expression seems to have been invented for this film by Jacques Demy.
Available on Arte.tv.

“Donkey Skin”
Homeric cuddly toy: “O’brother”
The escape of three convicts in the deep south of the United States, in the 1930s. Or rather The Odyssey, revised and much corrected by the Coen brothers. Hilarious film, supported by amazing music and three incredible actors, Clooney in the lead!
Available on MyCanal and Prime Video.

“O’Brother”
Dingo comforter: “Delicatessen”
A disturbing butcher feeds the residents of a building. Caro and Jeunet invented a baroque, crazy universe, populated by incredible faces (Pinon, Dreyfus, Rufus). The poetry of Carné, the madness of Gilliam, talent in spades. In short, cult film.
Available on MyCanal. (Paramount+)
