While the rumor of a sixth film Ice Age had been running since last September, the information was confirmed during the D23 Brazil event which was held from November 8 to 10, 2024. A new episode of the famous animated saga will indeed see the light of day and, for the occasion, the actors Ray Romano, John Leguizamo et Queen Latifah will resume their respective roles of Manny, Sid et Ellie an original version.
That's not all since Dennis Leary et Simon Pegg will once again lend their voice to Diego and to Buck In Ice Age 6. Something to delight millions of fans!
When will it be released Ice Age 6 ?
If the feature film is in full preparation, a release date has just been set by Disney. So, Ice Age 6 will be available from December 18, 2026 in theaters in the United States. And, for good reason, the studio has postponed a next film Star Wars in development and initially planned for that date.
Movie details Star Wars in question are not known but, according to the specialized American media The Hollywood Reporter, it could be the new trilogy which will be written and produced by Simon Kinberg. Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, will also serve as producer.
Among other projects Star Wars in progress, there is the film centered on Rey Skywalker (Daisy Ridley) as well as The Mandalorian & Grogua feature film which will act as a spin-off to the series The Mandalorian.
