trailer under Suicide Squad for Marvel's forgotten

Thunderbolts*starring Florence Pugh and David Harbour, is revealed in a new trailer that looks very sub-Marvel's Suicide Squad.

The very first D23 Brasil: A Disney Experience took place this weekend in São Paulo. A new Disney convention which allowed the studio to, among other things, unveil some concept art for the next Avatarto announce a next film Ice Age and share the trailer for Captain America 4 (with a little more Red Hulk inside). Another (any?) small event of the weekend: the new images of Thunderbolts*.

Thunderbolts*, le Suicide Squad Wish de Marvel ?

And for now, it's difficult to talk about the new film directed by Jake Schreier without thinking about the Suicide Squad from DC. No, not to the horrible 2016 opus, but to the great film released in 2021 and directed by James Gunn. Here too, we are presented with a team of unhinged dirty kids, but deep down inhabited by a little beating heart… But if this trailer tries to ape the nonchalance and tenderness of the competition, it is clear that the film with Florence Pugh and David Harbor neither his madness nor his generosity.

Thunderbolts* looks all wise, not very funny and not really spectacular. Perhaps the film's true potential lies elsewhere and its dreamed-up nastiness is a false promotional leadbut the trailer doesn't suggest anything else. However, on paper, this new opus of the MCU has relative potential, between its casting (Pugh, Harbour, but also Sebastian Stan, Olga Kurylenko and Rachel Weisz) and the team of the excellent series Relentless (director Jake Schreier, creator Lee Sung Jin, and producer/writer Joanna Calo).

One more superhero/villain team

We will have to give a chance to Thunderbolts*which as a reminder, will be released next April 30 in our French cinemas. In the meantime, Florence Pugh will be the headliner of what will undoubtedly be the big fuss at the start of 2025, Love in the present. Sebastian Stan, for his part, is currently in theaters with the friendly The Apprentice. For David Harbour, the new season of Stranger Things will arrive in 2025.
