WILL THERE BE A NEW SUPERMAN MOVIE?
Failing to see one day Man of Steel 2Superman will return to the cinema in a new film that will inaugurate the new DC Extended Universesoberly called DCU. The news was confirmed in early 2023, after the appointment of Peter Safran and James Gunn as co-CEOs of DC Studios.
It is the latter who is also responsible for the script and direction after his farewell to Marvel with Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
WHAT WILL SUPERMAN BE ABOUT?
Superman will completely reboot the universe installed by Zack Snyder with Man of Steel et Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. No precise synopsis has yet been revealed, but given the casting, James Gunn should ignore the origin story that we all know now. Only the broad outlines of the story were shared.
Clark Kent will thus have to find a balance between his daily life as a reporter and his alter ego Superman, but also find his identity, torn between his Kryptonian origin and his life as a human. It remains to be seen how and why Lex Luthor will start hostilitiesand how all the other superheroes will fit into the story.
WHEN IS SUPERMAN RELEASE DATE?
Superman will be released in France on July 9, 2025, and July 11 in the United States. Principal photography began in late February 2024 and concluded in July of the same year.
WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE SUPERMAN CAST?
No Henry Cavill, Amy Adams or Laurence Fishburn in the casting of the next one Superman. The film will completely reboot the franchise with new characters and a new cast. Clark Kent will thus be played by the thirty-year-old clone of Henry Cavill: David Corenswet.

IS THERE A SUPERMAN TRAILER?
Neither James Gunn nor Warner has yet shared an official teaser for Superman. Even less first trailer. Hence the blunder of the France 2 newscast, which illustrated a report on the film using a fake trailer found on the Internet and made from atrocious digital images. James Gunn also got wind of it, and didn’t particularly appreciate it (which is easily understandable).
