But the superhero has no time to cry as his team is attacked by Ayesha and Adam Warlock, the superpowered creation of the High Priestess of the Sovereigns. In addition to this new battle, the Guardians of the Galaxy will begin searching for the man who once modified the body of their friend Rocket. But he has only one objective: to recover his raccoon.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 among the biggest hits of the year 2023

Despite the enormous success of the feature film, which grossed more than $800 million at the worldwide box office, James Gunn confirmed on a Deadline podcast that it was “the last time people will see this Guardians team.” As a reminder, the American filmmaker slammed the door on Marvel Studios for his competitor: DC Studios. In October 2022, it was announced that he would be in charge of art direction for DC’s upcoming superhero films with producer Peter Safran, his longtime friend and collaborator.
