Zapping Autonews Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé (2023): the SUV Coupé in video
Everyone knows Star Wars. At least in name. This year, there were numerous celebrations in France, notably at the Grand Rex or in the Disneyland Paris park, and of course all over the world. They also coincided with the 25th anniversary of the release of Episode I, The Phantom Menace.
The national gendarmerie also gave a nod. We owe it to the gendarmerie company of Vervins in the Aisne department. The latter posted a photo on her Facebook page where one of the soldiers who is about to get into his service car is wearing the Mandalorian helmet.
This is the way
This character from The Mandalorian is a pure creation of the Disney era. Din Djarin is a bounty hunter who takes in a strange creature, Grogu, whom fans have named “baby Yoda”. A bit paradoxical on the part of the gendarmerie to pay tribute to a bounty hunter who therefore sells himself to the highest bidder. Even if the latter so much to side with the New Republic.
We will also note the comment of certain subscribers of the Facebook page of the Aisne gendarmerie rightly remarking that the helmet in question was not regulatory:
“Helmet not approved so pay attention to the report by a zealous colleague”
Others have taken up the cult phrase from the series directed by Jon Favreau:
“This is the way”
To sum up
Last Saturday, May 4, the world celebrated World Star Wars Day, “May the force be with you”. And the gendarmerie was not left out with a post tribute to the saga created by George Lucas.
