The feature film attracted a large number of young people, but its number of screenings did not respect the rules of media chronology. A part of the profession is furious and has denounced this slippage to the CNC.

310,000 spectators in and 50,000 more abroad in two days of operation. Friday 13 and Saturday 14 September, the special release at the cinema of Kaizen, 1 year to climb Everest ! the documentary by web star Inoxtag, has broken attendance records. The 2h30 feature film ranked second at the box office, behind the American blockbuster Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which attracted more than 571,000 spectators in five days. Inoxtag even did better than Daniel Auteuil: Le Fil is off to a good start, but by attracting 166,000 film buffs…

The feat of Kaizen is all the more remarkable since this documentary was available on YouTube on Saturday, where it is now approaching 25 million views. And it will also be on TF1 on October 8. Free of charge, in both cases. Many young people agreed to pay to go and see it in the cinema as a preview.
