The ambitions of KTM Tech 3 with Bastianini and Vinales for 2025

While the 2024 MotoGP season has just ended, following the Barcelona Grand Prix on Sunday evening, 2025 is already beginning. From 10 a.m. this morning, pre-season testing began on the Catalunya track. The drivers were able to acclimatize to their new teams and discover their horses. Among the eleven teams on the field, three have completely changed their line-up, including Hervé Poncharal's French team, Tech3, leaning towards experience by recruiting Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales. The two men come from two different backgrounds, Ducati and Aprilia, Italian manufacturers. The native of Rimini and the Spaniard will ride on a brand new Motorcycle, with cutting-edge equipment, as in the official KTM team. On the official MotoGP website, the boss of the French brand spoke about the expectations of his riders.

Big challenges for 2025

“In recent years we have been used to running rookies on the Tuesday following the last race. It was always a great moment because we had someone coming from Moto2, riding a MotoGP for the first time, where everything is fantastic, the power, the brakes, the tires, the suspension, the electronics… This year it will be very different. We have two very experienced drivers with Maverick Viñales and Enea Bastianini. Honestly, I pray every minute that both of them feel comfortable and enjoy the bike. Enea comes from the best package on the grid, the GP24, and Maverick rode a factory Suzuki, a factory Yamaha and a factory Aprilia. So we’re all crossing our fingers and hoping they feel comfortable on our bike.”
