OFFICIAL: MotoGP unveils new brand identity via new logos.

It's difficult to keep a secret in the small world of MotoGP, and if a few leaks had spread in the paddock on Saturday, the new logos of the disciplines that captivate us are now official!

Designed with the largest independent design studio in the world, Pentagram, the graphic identity is more than a logo. It is a complete brand evolution, which includes illustration, movement, typography, visual identity and verbal identity, designed to take the most exciting sport on the planet into a new era.

From a motorsport brand to a global entertainment brand at the forefront of digital technology, and we clearly recognize the touch of an approaching Liberty Media, the new MotoGP™ is aimed at all fans, those who are fallen in love throughout the more than 75 years of its history, and all those who have not yet discovered it.

The M of the new MotoGP™ logo is inspired by two motorcycles, supporting each other, close to each other on the track, as is the case in this sport. The “O”s suggest the geometry of the wheels, and the “t” the driver between them. Man and machine. The “GP” evokes the track and helps the logo maintain its strong sporting aesthetic.

“Working on MotoGP’s new identity has been an incredible honor. It was great to collaborate with the MotoGP team to reimagine this iconic brand, and it was impossible not to get caught up in the excitement of the competition and the people who shape it. We hope fans around the world embrace the new look and feel as MotoGP begins its next chapter.”

Carmelo EzpeletaCEO of Dorna Sports, MotoGP™ rights holder.
“We are very excited to reveal our new identity and invite fans around the world to meet the new MotoGP. Working with Pentagram has been an incredible journey leading to what we hope our fans will agree is an incredible result. A brand is more than a logo, and MotoGP is more than a sport. The process taught us a lot about both aspects and we are very proud to show the results to the world. The key question that arose throughout the process was: “What is MotoGP?” “, both today and from the perspective of who we want to be, and we hope this new identity communicates all aspects of that, from speed to passion, and everything in between . That’s MotoGP.”
