Pecco Bagnaia's mistake costs dearly, world championship standings after MotoGP Malaysian GP sprint race

Even before Sunday's Grand Prix, the tone has risen here in Malaysia, for the nineteenth and final stage of the MotoGP world championship. Having started off very well with his rival, Jorge Martin, Francesco Bagnaia lost control during this morning's sprint event. The Italian fell at the start of turn nine, in the penultimate portion of the Sepang track. This error is undoubtedly the turning point of this 2024 campaign. Now, 29 points separate the two men. Even if the title race is officially not over, the Turinese's chances of winning the title are difficult to achieve. The Ducati rider will have a chance to make up for it tomorrow, during the main round.
