MotoGP, Japan J1, Enea Bastianini (Ducati/5): “it was quite a complex day”

The first day of the Japanese Grand Prix saw Ducati rider Enea Bastianini take an encouraging fifth place and thus secure his direct access to Q2. However, this day was not easy for the native of Rimini, who had to overcome several obstacles before finding his rhythm. Despite a fall in the middle of the session, the “Beast” was able to pull itself together to end on a positive note.

I used the first tire to get a good feeling again, then I pushed at the end of the session, managing to get a good time. It was important to finish in Q2, but for the moment, my pace is not yet among the best. »

Bastianini hopes to improve his pace for the next sessions, keeping an eye on his direct competitors. With this fifth place in his pocket, he is ready to face the rest of the weekend with determination.
