Jorge Martin’s mistake costs him dearly, the world championship classification after the sprint race of the MotoGP Indonesian GP

Because of his mistake during the sprint race, Jorge Martin now has a twelve point lead over his rival, Francesco Bagnaia. Starting from pole position, the Spaniard finished in tenth place, outside the points. Thanks to the fall of the Madrilenian, the double reigning champion offered himself victory and the luxury of getting a little closer to the “Martinator”. Behind the two protagonists of this MotoGP world championship, Enea Bastianini and Marc Marquez are around forty units from the leaders. The slightest mistake from both men could work in their favor.

As for our French drivers, Fabio Quartararo and Johann Zarco benefited from their recent good results to score valuable points. Despite difficulties encountered during the sprint event, the 2021 champion moved up to thirteenth place, passing Miguel Oliveira. For the resident, he managed to grab two additional units by overtaking his Japanese comrade, Takaaki Nakagami, eighteenth.
