JuniorGP: Johan Gimbert and Lorenzo Fellon return to Moto2

Two weeks apart, Johan Gimbert and Lorenzo Fellon announced that they would continue to participate in the Moto2 European Championship in their respective teams, as part of JuniorGP.

John Gimbert took part in his first season in Moto2 last year, with Raul Jara's PromoRacing team. A year of learning, for the French Supersport 600 Champion in 2023, which resulted in 10th place in the final ranking, with the highlight being a 4th place during the Jerez race and the unofficial title of first rookie despite a shoulder injury which handicapped him during the last two rounds.

“The step, I imagined it would be high… but not this high. The European Moto2 championship has suddenly gained momentum this season. At the front, things are going very strong. As strong as in the World Cup! Look at Jorge Navarro: he is called to Sepang (Malaysian GP) for a replacement and boom, pole position and podium (2nd)! Europe is truly the antechamber of the Grands Prix. The first five or six will take the elevator”he told Matin.

For his second year, the Frenchman will aim for at least the top 5 with a Kalex 2024, to ultimately hope to be able to follow in the footsteps of some of his now famous predecessors in the category, like Fermin Aldeguer who starts this season in MotoGP.

Pour Lorenzo Fellonthe 2024 season was more difficult, the boy still suffering the handicap of his shoulder problem which had already harmed him in the Moto3 Grand Prix. After finishing 14th in the general classification, the Vauclusien underwent a new shoulder operation in order to be able to approach the season in better conditions, but still with the Valencian team SF Racing.
We also wish him to join the top 5.
