This is the MotoGP™ line-up that everyone is talking about: Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Marc Márquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) will join forces to form the Ducati “Dream Team” in 2025. With 11 Champion crowns Worlds between them, the Italian and the Spaniard are determined to add a new title to their record by the end of the season.

Fans expect to see sparks between the two men, who will be both teammates and rivals and who will exploit the GP25 to the limit in the hope of clinching another MotoGP™ world title. The two riders were present during the presentation of the Ducati Lenovo team at Madonna di Campiglio, before an exchange hosted by the Italian brand on the mountain.

When asked if sharing a garage would lead them to drive differently to avoid collisions (like their collision at the 2024 Portuguese GP) both drivers were unequivocal: absolutely not. Marc Márquez explained: “No one wants to crash, no one wants to create a collision, but sometimes when you are driving at the limit you believe that the other (is going to do one thing) and the other believes that you (are going to make another). Sometimes he thinks one way and you think another.”

“We both scored zero points that day”

Pecco Bagnaia did not fail to underline the cost of this incident, which made him lose 11 points since he was in the running for a top 5. At the end of the season, the Italian lost his Champion title for 10 units for the benefit of Jorge Martín (Aprilia Racing).

To this, Marc Márquez replied “sorry” before the two men cut the tension short and laughed at the exchange.

Many other topics were covered during the show, including how they can work as a team, preparations for the new season and the fact that Marc Márquez was lectured by a member of the Ducati team for having put parmesan on seafood pasta.
