Yamaha has announced that its season presentation will take place on January 31, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This launch will be joint with the Pramac team, which will be equipped from next year with M1s from the brand with three tuning forks.
“This exclusive event will see the reveal of the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP livery as well as the bikes and riders of Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP and Pramac Yamaha Moto2”we can read in the short press release published this Tuesday.
The 2025 season will be of capital importance for the Yamaha program which will find a satellite team for the first time since 2022. The brand, which during the past campaign was still significantly behind in terms of performance over the benchmark that is Ducati, hopes to take advantage of this doubling of the number of M1s on the grid to collect more data and carry out more tests in order to manage to move up the hierarchy.
As in 2024, Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins will be the manufacturer's official drivers, while Pramac will engage Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira. At the same time, Augusto Fernández and Cal Crutchlow will serve as test riders, with a few appearances to come in the Grand Prix, with Yamaha benefiting from six wild cards for the coming season thanks to the concession system.
