Jorge Martín's confession to Ducati

Jorge Martín won his first ever MotoGP world championship title at the end of the 2024 season, managing to beat reigning two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia by ten points. But the Spanish rider, who rode for Pramac, suffered a setback in the season when Ducati decided to formalize Marc Márquez for next season and not him. He therefore decided to sign up with Aprilia for 2025 and after managing to win the championship, the Spaniard spoke to the MotoGP website, making a confession about his end of season. He did not want to enter into a conflict with Ducati but he feared that the Italian team would favor Bagnaia to its detriment in the title race.

Martín's confession about Ducati

The 2024 world champion assured he was grateful to Ducati, having no feeling of revenge ahead of next season. However, he admitted his frustration after Márquez's transfer and his fear of Bagnaia being favored at the end of the season. “After what happened, we talked because I had a lot of things to tell them. The way they handled it wasn't very good. It made no sense to enter into a conflict. Why would I want a confrontation, with the bike I had? It didn't make any sense. Obviously I was afraid, Paolo [Campinoti] was scared, everyone was scared, the media was scared. Everyone thought they would do something to make me lose this championship but they didn't, so hats off to Ducati. I'm really grateful to Ducati because they brought me to MotoGP and they made me a world champion. It's incredible“, confided the Spanish rider, very happy to have been crowned thanks to Ducati but who is now focused on his adventure with Aprilia.
