In Jerez de la Frontera, the first of two days of testing involving several Superbike and Supersport teams, as well as Honda MotoGP, has been archived. Work in progress to prepare for the 2025 season, with some brands needing to be on track more than others.

The best SBK time today was achieved by
Garrett Gerloff on the Ninja ZX-10RR of the Kawasaki Racing Team: 1'38.861. The American rider raced in the green livery for the first time and confirmed that he was comfortable with Akashi's bike. He had already impressed during the first test, also in Andalusia. Seventy-two laps were completed during this first day, during which work was carried out to best adapt the green Motorcycle to the rider. Manuel Puccetti had anticipated that electronics and lap timing would be two aspects the team would focus on.
Second time for Jonathan Reawho was in first place at midday and completed 77 laps today. He displays a gap of 568 thousandths with Gerloff. Oriol Pallares joined as the new chief engineer and worked on several aspects of the Yamaha R1, searching for a basic setup that would allow the six-time world champion to ride like he did back then from Kawasaki. Behind him, his teammate Andrea Locatelli completed 67 laps.
He is followed by Sam Lowes on the Ducati Panigale V4 R of the Marc VDS team and Florian
Marinotester of the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team. Bimota drivers, Axel Bassani et Alex
Loweswill ultimately only run on Wednesday. It is essential to align kilometers in order to continue the development of the KB998.
