Gresiniis going through a key period in his career, marked by a season full of challenges and learning. In a recent interview with MOW, he reflected on the highs and lows of 2024, the technological evolution in MotoGP, his growing role within the team and the influence of his brother Marc
Marquez
.

2024 has not been an easy year for Alex
Marquez
. Despite strong moments, such as his podium at the Sachsenring, he had to deal with a Ducati GP23
unofficial and sawtooth performances. “ I always say that when things don't go as planned, you learn twice as much. In good times, it's very easy to be happy, but you don't learn much. It's when things are bad that you have to work twice as hard », confides Alex.

Despite these difficulties, he remains motivated. “ We had some really good moments, like the podium at the Sachsenring. But
we were often too far from the summit. We must learn to progress more quickly when things are not going our way
», he analyzes. However, his assessment remains positive, and his state of mind is clear: “
the important thing is to never stop trying. »

Alex arrived in MotoGP at a time when aerodynamics was beginning to transform motorcycle performance. He remembers a time when devices were rudimentary compared to today. “ Now the work on aerodynamics is much more professional and really changes the behavior of the bike. » However, he predicts that, by 2027, the rules could limit its role to restore more importance to pilot technique.

Alex Marquez : «
I want to learn from Fermin Aldeguer »

In 2025, Alex Marquez will take on a new role: that of team leader with the arrival of the young
Fermin Aldeguer as a teammate. Rather than seeing this arrival as a threat, he sees an opportunity to grow: “ I want to learn from Fermin. When a young person arrives, he brings a fresh perspective. It motivates you. »

For Alex, the attitude to adopt is essential: “
maybe at first you think it does everything worse, but you have to see what he does better and learn from there. »

The relationship with his brother Marc remains a central point of Alex's career. Although sharing a box with an eight-time world champion has increased the pressure, he has learned valuable lessons from it. “ When you share a garage with a world champion, there is more pressure. But it was fantastic to learn so much from him. »

Marc, described by Alex as a “ leader solide », has always been able to guide the team with clarity and determination. However, Alex insists: “ if you compare yourself to Marc or Vale (Rossi), you lose. These pilots have something innate,
like a wave of a wand magic
which allows them to win whatever the circumstances
. »

As the 2025 season approaches, Alex Marquez
remains determined: “ the objective is always the same. You have to give everything. If it doesn't work, at least
you will have no regrets
. » During the winter, he plans to recharge his batteries with motocross sessions, a sport he particularly likes, while enjoying personal moments with his partner.

With a mentality focused on learning, perseverance and an intact passion for competition, Alex
Marquez
prepares to take on new challenges and continue to progress in an increasingly demanding MotoGP.
