Francesco Bagnaia did not achieve the feat of overthrowing the Spaniard Jorge Martin, new MotoGP world champion. If the Italian Ducati rider won this Sunday, the last Grand Prix of the season contested in Barcelona, ​​the double title holder failed to make up for his 19 points deficit.

The “Martinator”, third on the Catalan track, therefore offered himself his first MotoGP world champion title. In the end, he is 10 points ahead of his transalpine rival and 116 points ahead of his compatriot Marc Marquez (Gresini). The latter took second place in this Grand Prix, which allowed him to overtake Enea Bastianini (Ducati-Lenovo), finally fourth of the season.
